Congratulations are in order
Many changes have occurred in the membership. We wish to extend congratulations and best wishes to several couples that tied the knot since the last newsletter. Jim and Karen; Dave and Krystal as well as Bob and Daria have all chosen to marry over the holiday season.
Watch for more romantic announcements in the near future, maybe even from Vermont. Yet another MTM member will be marrying in the Detroit area and honeymooning in the Upper Peninsula.
Best wishes for happiness.
Sharon Patke deserves the thanks of the membership for many reasons. She has had a strong commitment to producing the MTM newsletter over the past years. She has done a super job of encouraging people to write articles of interest to the membership. Always working against very tight deadlines, Sharon made sure there was advance information. She would send race volunteers the information they needed to plan their race lives and get the Chiefs of the Events the staff they needed.
Sharon has met the challenge of using gentle persuasion, collection, collation, editing, publishing, printing and mailing what has become a truly international newsletter distributed in at least 11 states in the United States and 3 provinces Canada plus the United Kingdom.
I very much appreciate that Sharon has kindly offered to assist your fledgling editor, particularly through the transition period.

Guess what's coming?
You knew this was coming! To make sure you have something to enjoy reading we need scintillating articles to be volunteered, coerced and shared.
If you would like to share your musings feel free to send them to me via e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
Suggestions are also welcome too!
MTM Member travels
Don Tessmer and Tina Totura flew south to Florida to CART's Champ Car Spring Training at Homestead. Tamara Suchoversky and Dick and Barb Coburn drove down. Tamara and the Coburns worked the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. Changes will be noticed at Homestead in the additional grandstands that are currently under construction. This created a small challenge for Don, Tamara and Tina to get to their stations. Tamara had the joy of an earthmover and compactor constantly working behind her station
Don reported on the changes in car and helmet colours. Willy Perez hopes to have a 1999 Champ Car Spotter's Guide ready in the very near future.
Others on stations at the event included Mark Miller from British Columbia, Herman and Carole Rizzie from St. Louis and Charley who hails from Miami.
More people information
Good news from Sparta and Grand Rapids. Spud Ensing is recovering rapidly from a mild stroke he suffered while wintering in Arizona. Gordy flew out and shared that Spud was progressing extremely well.
Gordy and Spud wanted to say thanks to everyone for their calls, emails and cards of support. Spud is looking forward to working corners this year.
It is time for racing
Please get your cards back to Nancy Schilke as soon as possible so the season's planning can get up to speed quickly.
