Letters from Our Friends

December 21, 2001

Hello,

As 2001 quickly approaches its close, I would like to take this opportunity to share some of the wonderful thoughts from our CART family.

We do not always have the time in our schedules to express our gratitude for your commitment, loyalty and dedication to our success.

We all share one passion, the love of motorsport.  We sailed through some turbulent waters this past season but have also shared in many bright sunny days.

2002 promises to bring us excitement at our new venues and the pleasures of returning to venues we have enjoyed in the past.

The 2002 season will also bring with it the beginning of the "Volunteer Program".   We have some exciting plans and ideas we will be implementing.   One of those is a quarterly newsletter, which will enable us to get to know each other.  The attachments are notes and letters I have received from members of our extended family and will in future become part of our newsletter.  Your input and ideas are going to be very welcome.  I had hoped to have the newsletter format prepared for this year-end summary, time has quickly eluded me.

In closing, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your support.  We could not do this without you and although showing our appreciation has been on a more personal note from each of us, myself, Dick Perry, Chuck Greer, Lon Bromley, Jim Swintal, Billy Kamphausen and the many other faces you encounter on our racing weekends.  There are many more that recognize and acknowledge your unselfish commitment to the best and "fastest" open wheel-racing series.

I look forward to an exciting season in 2002 and the opportunity to meet each of you and share and explore new ideas for our "Volunteer Program".

Take care, have a wonderful Holiday Season, see you in 2002.

Best Wishes,

Irene Chambers
